Iron Penguin Builders (“we,” “us”) runs ironpenguinbuilders.com (the “Site”). This policy explains, in plain language, what information we collect, how we use it, who handles it, and the choices you have. It describes what we actually do.

Information We Collect

Information you give us. When you request an estimate through our online form, call, text or email us, we collect what you choose to share — typically your name, phone number, email address, the property address, and a description of your project. If we take on your project, we also keep the records needed to do the work and bill for it, such as measurements, design details and invoices.

Technical information. Like every website, our hosting provider (Vercel) automatically receives basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. It is used to deliver the Site and protect it from abuse. We don't use it to identify you or build a profile of you.

What we don't use. The Site does not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, advertising trackers, session recording or heatmap tools, and the Site itself sets no cookies.

Third-Party Content on Our Site

Two pieces of our contact page are provided by other companies and load from their servers:

  • Our estimate request form is provided by Housecall Pro, the software we use to manage estimates and jobs. Information you enter goes directly to our Housecall Pro account.
  • Our location map is provided by Google Maps.

When these load, Housecall Pro (and service providers it uses, such as Stripe for fraud prevention) and Google may set their own cookies and collect technical information under their own privacy policies (housecallpro.com/privacy and policies.google.com/privacy). If you prefer not to use them, call or email us instead.

How We Use Your Information

  • To respond to your inquiry and prepare your estimate
  • To schedule site visits, communicate about your project, and complete and invoice the work
  • To keep business records and meet legal, tax and insurance obligations

We do not sell your personal information, use it for targeted advertising, or share it with other companies for their marketing.

Text Messages

If you give us your mobile number, we may text you about your estimate or project, such as scheduling and appointment reminders. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. We do not sell or share mobile numbers or text messaging consent with third parties for their marketing purposes.

Who Handles Your Information

Your information is handled only by our team and by service providers that help us run the business:

  • Housecall Pro — receiving estimate requests, scheduling and job management
  • Our email and phone providers — communicating with you
  • Vercel — hosting the Site

These providers may use your information only to provide their services to us. We may also disclose information when required by law, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.

How Long We Keep It

We keep inquiry and project information for as long as needed to respond to you, complete and support your project, and meet our legal, tax and insurance record-keeping obligations. After that, we delete it or keep it only in a form that no longer identifies you.

Your Choices and Rights

Some state privacy laws, including laws in Rhode Island and Connecticut, give consumers rights over their personal information. Those laws mainly apply to larger businesses, but we offer the same rights to everyone, wherever you live. You can ask us to:

  • Tell you what personal information we have about you and give you a copy
  • Correct information that is inaccurate
  • Delete your information, except records we must keep by law or to support work we performed
  • Stop sending you texts or emails that aren't about an active project

To make a request, email or call us using the details below. We may ask you to confirm your identity before we act on it. We won't treat you differently for making a request. Because we don't sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising, there is nothing to opt out of, and we treat browser privacy signals such as Global Privacy Control accordingly.

Security

The Site is served only over HTTPS, and the Site itself does not store personal information — it is a static website with no database. We take reasonable steps to protect the information in our business systems, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Children's Privacy

The Site is meant for adults arranging work on their property. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Links to Other Websites

The Site links to other websites, such as our Facebook, Instagram and Yelp pages. This policy covers only ironpenguinbuilders.com; other sites have their own privacy practices.

Changes to This Policy

If we change how we collect or use information — for example, by adding analytics — we'll update this page and the “Last updated” date before the change takes effect.
